On Sunday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m., The Bridge Gallery, at 8566 Shepherdstown Pike, will host a Creativity Presentation and workshop with Rebecca Grace Jones. The Shepherdstown artist recently completed a year-long project of producing a piece of artwork each day following a book by Noah Scalin called '365: A Daily Creativity Journal: Make Something Every Day and Change Your Life". Scalin's book provides 365 'project prompts' designed to kick-start the reader's creativity.
A number of the various pieces Rebecca produced from an array of materials and using diverse techniques will be on display at the gallery. She will describe the processes behind many of the pieces, talk about the highlights of her experience and how the book changed her life.
For those interested in having their creative juices stirred there will be a project outlined at this event which participants would complete and bring to Jones' follow up Creativity Workshop at the Bridge later in January.
Many of the art projects are available for viewing on Jones's blog www.wordkeepers.blogspot.com; there is also a video by Dave Singer celebrating the year of creativity.
