Hospice of the Panhandles seeks volunteers

By Staff | Feb 22, 2013

With the new year comes new opportunities! For those considering volunteering but aren’t sure where to start, patient support volunteers for Hospice of the Panhandle have a variety of ways to give back to patients who are living with life limiting illness. Volunteers can provide socialization, make veteran to veteran visits, give a much needed break to caregivers, share special talents, provide transportation and sit with dying patients. Consider becoming a volunteer and help others in our community benefit from donated time and support.

Training for new volunteers is scheduled for Fridays March 15, 22 and 29 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the main office of Hospice of the Panhandle in Martinsburg. For those interested in finding out more about volunteer opportunities or in attending the new volunteer training please contact Tricia Lawrence, volunteer coordinator at 304-267-1870 ext. 211.
