Bob Madison - Shepherdstown Chronicles , Shepherdstown Chronicle

Martinsburg, the state's only unbeaten Class AAA team, leads that classification toward the playoffs as the regular season dwindles down to its final two weeks.

The Bulldogs have a 14.22 rating and find themselves just ahead of once-beaten Spring Valley. Rated third before its game with Martinsburg is Musselman, another team with just one loss.

University is fourth and two-loss Capital is fifth.

Next (in order) come Huntington, Morgantown, South Charleston, Hurricane and George Washington.

Cabell Midland is in 11th place, followed by Wheeling Park. Jefferson, at 4-4, is tied for 13th with Princeton with 7.25 ratings.

Rated 15th is Hedgesville with a 7.0 norm with Parkersburg South in 16th with a 6.13 rating.

Just outside the top 16 is Spring Mills at 5.75 with its 4-4 record.

The top 16 teams reach the 2016 playoffs which begin on the weekend of November 11-12.

Unbeaten Bridgeport paces the Class AAA ranks with Fairmont Senior and unbeaten Point Pleasant in second and third.

Unbeaten Mingo Central is fourth and then come Sissonville, James Monroe, Nicholas County, Independence, Lincoln and Winfield.

There are still five undefeated teams in the Class A ranks with East Hardy leading that division.

In second place in the small school ranks is once-beaten Tolsia.

Then come the four other undefeated teams with Fayetteville in third place place followed in order by St. Mary's, Cameron and Gilmer County.

In seventh place among the Class A schools is South Harrison with Summers County, Wheeling Central Catholic and Williamstown rounding out the top 10.

Jefferson has remaining games against South Hagerstown and Washington and both are at home in Shenandoah Junction.
