I am writing this letter to thank Andy and John from the Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department for helping the residents and staff at Canterbury Center on Friday, Dec. 9. Our flag needed to be replaced and we were unable to get the flag down ourselves. I called across the road, and within ten minutes, Andy and John were over to assist us. Being from a small town in Ohio and as a new resident to this area, I was thankful to see the kindness and compassion that comes with living in a small community. This may have been a minor task for the first responders, but for us, it meant a lot.
On behalf of the staff and residents of Canterbury Center, thank you.
Andrea Cullinan, CED
