PURCELLVILLE, Va. - Jefferson became Loudoun Valley's second victim of the year last Friday night when the Vikings expanded a one-touchdown lead after one quarter into a 49-6 victory by game's end.

The homestanding Vikings had beaten only Park View before Jefferson came to Purcellville. The Cougars are now winless in seven tries after absorbing the 43-point loss to Loudoun Valley.

Loudoun Valley's lead was 28-6 by halftime. After not scoring in the third quarter, the Vikings reeled off 21 points in the fourth quarter. Jefferson's lone touchdown came in the first period and the Cougars were blanked over the final three quarters.
